THIRD ANNIVERSARY OF THE FULL-SCALE RUSSIAN-UKRAINIAN WAR

On February 24, 2022, an open armed full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russians began – the invader announced the start of the so-called SVO – a special military operation aimed at “demilitarization” and “denazification” of Ukraine. Within minutes, Russian missiles from the territory of Belarus and the temporarily occupied Crimea attacked Ukrainian airfields and military facilities throughout Ukraine. The Russian-Ukrainian war, started by the Russian Federation in 2014, has entered a new acute phase.

The enemy counted on a quick takeover of Ukraine, because he was convinced that the Ukrainians were waiting for the Russians with bread and salt. But in fact, from the first hours of the invasion, the aggressor’s army met fierce resistance not only from the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the National Guard, but also from ordinary citizens united in territorial defense units, voluntary formations of territorial communities, and volunteer organizations.

Since 2014, our Federation has been fully involved in the protection of its compatriots, who at that time found themselves in the war zone, regularly organized the rehabilitation of soldiers participating in the anti-terrorist operation and engaged in other important volunteering activities.

After the tragic events of February 2022, the confrontation with military realities became extremely tangible for our Federation. To this day, each of the members and partners of BFDR continues to work tirelessly and persistently for victory. What it will be and when, unfortunately, we do not know. However, every day, each of us does everything possible to bring her closer. We will definitely forever engrave in the memory of generations all the military chronicles of the life of our organization, no matter how unexpected and difficult they may be.

On this day, we honor the memory of our colleagues and friends-heroes who died for our freedom and lives, we pray for the end of the war as soon as possible.

We are in our fourth year. Let’s persevere.

Glory to Ukraine.
