On September 7-10, the best bodyguard teams from around the world will compete for victory at the tenth Bodyguard World Championship – 2019, which this year will be held in Kyiv. This was reported in the Department of State Protection of Ukraine.
Teams of security and law enforcement agencies, special services, as well as security services of the presidents of different countries of the world will take part in the competition: China, Belarus, Moldova, Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Jordan and Serbia. Also, two teams of female bodyguards from the Office of State Security and the Fiscal Service of Ukraine will be presented at Bodyguard – 2019.
On Saturday, September 7, after the ceremonial opening, which will take place at 2:30 p.m. near the Arch of Peoples’ Friendship, the bodyguards will demonstrate escorting a guarded person on foot, his protection and evacuation during an attacker’s attack, as well as effective hand-to-hand combat techniques.
The next day, September 8, the participants will overcome an obstacle course in a car with spectacular techniques of extreme vehicle control (the square in front of the “Olympic” stadium).
On Monday, September 9, shooting competitions will be held from various positions in conditions as close as possible to combat (Sports and Training Shooting Complex “Kupol”). And at the final stage, which will take place on September 10, the bodyguards will quickly search for explosive devices in vehicles (the area in Mariinsky Park).
