The competition lasted from August 26 to 27 on the basis of the Institute of State Security of Ukraine of Taras Shevchenko KNU. The first place was won by a team of servicemen from the personal protection unit, and the second and third places were shared by the teams of the facilities protection unit.<\/em><\/p>\n

In total, six teams took part in the competition: “Bulat” special forces, military personnel guarding facilities and personal security units.<\/p>\n

Over the course of two days, servicemen competed in 5 types of all-around bodyguards: hand-to-hand combat, techniques and tactics for the protection of a person subject to state protection during foot escort; searching for “explosive” devices in a car, practical shooting, providing medical aid and overcoming an obstacle course.<\/p>\n
